The Coalition of Frontline Care (CFC) was formed in 2023, and sent an initial letter to ministers in Sept 23. We had senior level discussions with key ministers, parliamentarians in the House of Lords, CMO Chris Whitty, NHSE Sarah Mitchell, CQC and others and we hold regular 6 weekly meetings.

The Coalition Report from the Frontline entitled 'End of Life Care is Everyone’s Business' is being developed with a planned November launch. Its aim is to provide evidence of our frontline experience ‘at the bedside’ to best represent the views of all our Coalition members, to clarify the problems from our side, speaking together and to give real examples of best practice as potential transferable solutions. Also, to ‘put flesh on the bone’ of our recommendations at service, system and national level for the Government, policy leaders and commissioners. 

With the new Government in July, we resent the adapted original letter to the current relevant ministers and key groups including Stephen Kinnock (Health Minister for EOLC) at DHSC, Daisy Cooper (Lib Dems), Lord Darzi etc. We were acknowledged in the Darzi Sept 24 Report on the current state of the NHS. We received a reply to our letter to the Minister at DHSC and an invitation to contribute to the DHSC development of the NHS 10 year plan.
